Gidleigh Park Hotel Celebrates Two Michelin Stars For The 10th Year Running
We are delighted to have retained two Michelin stars for 2009. The Michelin guide is arguably the most revered restaurant guide amongst chefs, restaurant critics and guests alike and Gidleigh Park Hotel is honoured to be a part of a small group of two star establishments, of which there are only 16 in the UK and three in the South West.
Says Michael Caines MBE, Executive Chef, who is also celebrating his 15th year anniversary at Gidleigh Park: ‘This is fantastic news. I am so proud of my team, who work tirelessly everyday to achieve perfection for all our guests.’

The 24 individually designed and beautifully decorated hotel rooms are sumptuously furnished with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a luxury hotel whilst retaining much of their original and delicate charm.
Within the grounds you will find a tennis court, two croquet lawns, a bowling green not to mention the 18-hole championship level putting course which is open during the summer months and poses plenty of challenges for even the most experienced golfers among us.

Our restaurant is considered to be one of the finest in the country and for the last ten years has been the proud holder of two Michelin stars. With Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE at the helm, the restaurant is renowned for creating innovative European dishes and has received much critical acclaim from food lovers around the world.
Dartmoor National Park
Gidleigh Park Hotel is set in its 54 acres of grounds and parkland in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, has a simply breathtaking location. This idyllic environment offers numerous walks through the grounds and out on to the moors themselves. In the vicinity there is an extensive range of activities including fishing, horse riding and shooting to mention but a few. Then again, the draw of a good book, a comfortable armchair in the drawing room and the blazing fireplace can be equally tempting.
