Our 2 bedroomed, holiday cottage North Devon, with picturesque views over the North Devon countryside - is available to rent from 29th May 2010.
The holiday cottage/bungalow/barn is set in nearly 5 acres of grounds in North Devon with 2 other properties, one being the owners property, just outside the village of Parkham.
Parkham is a well situated village just a mile from the main A39, from which you can reach the golden sands of Westward Ho!, the picturesque village of Clovelly, the local attractions The Big Sheep & The Milky Way. RHS Rosemoor, Torrington is also well worth a visit. There are plenty of walking opportunities along the Tarka Trail (reasonably flat, this is a good cycle trail as well) or the South West coastal path (that isn't). The town of Bideford with all local amenities is not far away, and from there you can board the Oldenburg to the island of Lundy to see the seals and puffins, flora and fauna.
Bedroom 1 has a 5' double bed and overlooks the garden and has far reaching views over the North Devon countryside.
Bedroom 2 has two 3' single beds and overlooks the front courtyard.

Other facilities include: Colour TV with freeview, radio and CD player, electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, woodburner, bed linen and towels included (please bring your own beach towels), garden furniture and BBQ, parking for two cars, smoking in the garden only please. We will supply one basket of logs for free and can supply additional baskets at £5 each. We welcome dogs, but an additional £10 per week is charged, however, please be advised that we have livestock in our 5 acres, and dogs are only permitted in the small garden attached to the property, unless on a lead. It is requested that the dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms. Booster table seat for young child available.
A welcome pack is provided which will include, amongst other things, tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, pint of milk, bottle of water and Vicki's home made biscuits. We have over 20 chickens and get plenty of eggs, and are happy to supply you with eggs whilst you stay with us (subject to availability of course, as they may well not be laying whilst you stay).
One of our daily chores is to let out the chickens and goats each morning, and if you have children (preferably those over 5 years of age) who would like to help they would be more than welcome to join us, as indeed would adults.
